The Satsuma Dojo, on behalf of the Shotokan Karate-Do International Federation (SKIF), invite karateka of all ranks and schools to attend seminars taught by one of the leading karate exponents in the world. Hirokazu Kanazawa, a living legend in karate, is scheduled to hold special seminars in Sunnyvale, California.

Kanazawa is arguably the most famous karateka (practitioner of karate) alive.
He was one of Shotokan karate founder Gichin Funakoshi's last students, as well as among the first graduates of the Japan Karate Association's instructor training program in the 1950s. Moreover, at the 1st All-Japan Karate-do Championships in 1957, he took gold, becoming the first ever Japanese national kumite champion; he repeated as grand champion in 1958 and 1959.

In 1977, Kanazawa founded SKIF, now one of the largest and most respected karatedo organizations in the world. As the author and producer of many karate training books and videos, he encourages all karateka to cooperate and train together to promote respect and harmony.
