On Saturday, May 31, we will have the pleasure of
hosting Kasuya Sensei from Japan.
Kasuya sensei had graduated from the JKA instructor's course in the early 70's along with Mori sensei and Yahara sensei, having had the opportunity to be part of the JKA elite generation that has been greatly inspired by Asai sensei's maverick ways and ideas.

On Saturday, May 31, we will have the pleasure of
hosting Kasuya Sensei from Japan. Kasuya sensei had
graduated from the JKA instructor's course in the
early 70's along with Mori sensei and Yahara sensei,
having had the opportunity to be part of the JKA
elite generation that has been greatly inspired by
Asai sensei's maverick ways and ideas. There are many
Japanese instructors who deserve attention, but there
are only a few who truly deserve admiration and
respect. Those are usually the ones who are unique
and through their character and ideology transcend
cultural and traditional barriers. Kasuya sensei is
one of them. He is an instructor who demands the best
of himself. His open mindedness and joy for teaching
inspires all, children and adults alike. The training
sessions with Kasuya sensei will follow on a theme
basis. Since seminars are considered to be special
sessions with special themes, the ideas and concepts
presented will not be divided in any strict way by
the usual curriculum categories of kihon, kata and
kumite. At the end of the seminar there will be an
open discussion for all attending. Details regarding
